CEI One in Finder

Sign or verify PDFs straight from Finder on Mac: the Services menu, Open With and the Dock icon.

Available on: MacUpdated

You can send PDFs to CEI One straight from Finder, without looking for them from inside the app. You can sign or verify them with a right-click.

Sign from Finder

  1. In Finder, select one or more PDFs.
  2. Right-click the selection and choose Services › Sign with CEI One.
  3. CEI One opens on the Sign PDF page, with the documents you chose.
  4. Carry on with the mark and the codes as usual. See Sign a PDF on Mac and Sign several PDFs on Mac.

Documents sent from Finder replace the documents open on the Sign PDF page. If signing is in progress, they wait until it finishes.

Verify from Finder

  1. In Finder, select a PDF.
  2. Right-click it and choose Services › Verify with CEI One.
  3. CEI One opens on the Analyze PDF page and starts the analysis right away.

If you select several PDFs, the app analyzes only the first one. See Analyze a PDF on Mac.

Note

The names in the Services menu follow the macOS language, not the language you chose in CEI One. On a Mac set to Romanian, you’ll see “Semnează cu CEI One” and “Verifică cu CEI One”.

Open with CEI One or drag to the Dock

  • Right-click a PDF and choose Open With › CEI One.
  • Or drag one or more PDFs onto the CEI One icon in the Dock.

Either way, the documents open on the Sign PDF page.

CEI One appears only as an alternative app for PDFs. It doesn’t become your default app for opening PDFs.

Drag files into the app

  • On the Sign PDF page, drag one or more PDFs onto the document area. Files that aren’t PDFs are ignored.
  • On the Analyze PDF page, drag a PDF onto the document area. If you drag several, the first PDF is analyzed. If none of the files is a PDF, you’ll see the message “Only PDF files can be analyzed.”

Tip

If CEI One isn’t running, the Finder commands launch it and open the main window.
