Shortcuts, Siri, widget and Control Center

How to open CEI One quickly on iPhone from Shortcuts, Siri, Spotlight, the Quick actions widget or Control Center.

You can open CEI One straight on the screen you need: from Siri, Spotlight, the Shortcuts app, a Home Screen widget or Control Center.

Every action opens the app in the foreground, because reading over NFC works only while the app is open. The actions don’t show any personal data.

Actions for Siri and Spotlight

The actions are available as soon as you install the app, with nothing to set up. You’ll find them in Spotlight and in the Shortcuts app, and you can start them with Siri. The Siri phrases follow your iPhone’s language, not the language chosen in the app.

  • Sign PDF: opens the signing screen. For example, say “Sign a PDF with CEI One”.
  • Verify signature: opens signature verification. For example, “Verify a PDF signature with CEI One”.
  • Read eID: opens eID reading. For example, “Read my eID with CEI One”.
  • Proof of address: opens the read that ends with a proof of address. For example, “Proof of address with CEI One”.

Actions in the Shortcuts app

In the Shortcuts app, you can use these actions in your own shortcuts:

  • Sign PDF with CEI One optionally takes a PDF. With a PDF, the signing screen opens with the document already loaded. The same 50 MB limit applies as when you open a PDF from another app.
  • Verify PDF signature optionally takes a PDF. With a PDF, the app verifies it right away.
  • Read eID opens eID reading.
  • Proof of address opens the read for a proof of address.
  • Open CEI One opens the app on the screen chosen under Screen: Sign PDF, Read eID, Verify signature or Proof of address.

Note

If you’ve already started something in the app, such as entering codes, CEI One asks you before it switches screens. While the eID is being read or a document is being signed, the app waits for the operation to finish.

The Quick actions widget

The Quick actions widget comes in two sizes: small and medium. To add it:

  1. On your iPhone’s Home Screen, touch and hold an empty area until the icons start to jiggle.
  2. Tap the edit button at the top and choose to add a widget.
  3. Search for CEI One and choose the small or medium Quick actions widget.
  4. Add the widget, then tap Done at the top.

The widget has three buttons: Sign PDF, Read eID and Verify. Each one opens the app on that screen. The widget doesn’t read your eID and doesn’t show any personal data.

Control Center

CEI One offers two controls: Read eID and Sign PDF. You can add them to Control Center, the Lock Screen or your iPhone’s Action button.

Open Control Center, tap + at the top left, choose to add a control and search for CEI One.
